Meet Armstrong Outdoors in North Bay, Ontario Canada on June 7th.
(Approximately 16 hrs depends on how long it takes you to get through the border, if you take a firearm instead of a bow expect 2-3 hours delay at the border.) at designated location and depart at 8:00 AM sharp. We can book you a hotel room for additional fee if needed.
(We are still at least 200 miles away from camp, 2 lane and gravel roads). Follow us into camp via easiest route.
Pre-Planned stop before we enter the bush. Last gas stop.
Start hunting the afternoon of the 8th if possible.
Most hunts will take place in the afternoon. It gets dark around 10:30 and camp may be 1 hour away.
By the time we return and eat supper it gets late and sunrise is very early. If the guides determine that a bear is hitting your bait in the morning you may be asked if you want to hunt in the morning. We strive for everyone to have an opportunity to harvest a bear. Keep this in mind when your guide suggests something or moves you. They do this for a living and have cameras on bait sites.
Once you kill a bear it will need to be skinned, quartered, tagged, tooth removed for testing. We will have a person on site to take care of this for you. He works for tips, so please tip accordingly.
Once you have harvested your trophy you are required to take it to a check station and complete your paperwork.
There are more steps to this process once you harvest your trophy. If you decide to join us on this adventure I will get you details on what we will help you do to make this process as easy and fast as possible.
